We have taller buildings, but shorter tempers
Wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints
We spend more, but have less
We buy more, but enjoy less
We have bigger houses and smaller families
More convenience, but less time
We have more degrees, but less sense
More knowledge, but less judgment
More experts, but more problems
We have multiplied our possession, but reduces our values
We talk too much, love too seldom and lie too often
We have tried to make living, but not life
We have added years to life, not life to years
We have been to the moon and back, but have trouble Crossing the street to meet the new neighbor
We have conquered outer space but not inner space
We have done larger things, but not better things
We have cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul
We have split the atom, but not our prejudices
We have learnt more, but learn less
We have learnt to rush, but not to wait
We have higher incomes, but lower morals, more acquaintances, but few friends, more effort but less success
We built more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but less communication
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion
Tall men, and shorter character
Steep profits and shallow relationships
More kinds of foood and less nutrition
These are the days of two incomes, but more devorce, of financed houses and broken homes
These are the days of quick trips
Disposable diapers, throw away morality, one hight stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill
It is the time when there is much in the show window and nothing in the stock room. Indeed, it’s all true.
